The number of cheaper, low quality cross-drilled and slotted rotors floating around is staggering. This has led to the misconception that cross-drilled rotors are crack-prone and should be avoided. 2-Piece Track/Sport Rotors
Using a style developed at the race track, these 2-piece OE-size upgrades offer the maximum performance possible from stock braking systems. Available for a select number of street vehicles, these rotors provide improved repeated stopping power and fade resistance when compared to factory 1-piece rotors. Although lighter than the originals, heat management and thermal expansion are greatly improved.

Where available the Pillar Vane venting design (see below) offers 20% greater cooling than a typical straight-vane configuration. Available in cross-drilled and slotted or slotted-only, these maximum performance rotors can be ordered with either gold or black anodized hats. Blue or red also available for some
applications.

1-Piece Sport Rotors
As a leader in brake rotor upgrades, Brake Pros continues to offer the highly successful line of 1-piece Sport Rotors. These OE-size upgrades are a simple bolt-on with no other modifications required. All blanks meet or exceed OEM specifications while providing benefits not found in the original components.
Once through the initial quality inspection, they are machined to application-specific cross-drilled or slotted patterns. Aided by the latest CAD software, these patterns result in a full sweep of the pad face, which is critical for pad and rotor life as well as a reduction in noise and vibration. All cross-drilled holes are radius-chamfered to eliminate stress risers and minimize pad noise.

Brake Pros Sport Rotors offer higher initial pad bite, better cooling, quicker response when wet and an escape path for pad gasses. For car applications, Sport Rotors are plated for maximum corrosion resistance in all climates. For trucks, a durable coating offers similar protection. For an increasing number of applications, Pillar Vane Sport Rotors (see below) are offered as a maximum performance upgrade.

Pillar Vane Venting Technology
1-Piece Pillar Vane Rotors
While more production vehicles are equipped with larger brakes, they are still overwhelmed by heat when pushed to the limit. This leads to diminished braking efficiency and, unfortunately, longer braking distances.
For an efficient solution, Brake Pros offers Pillar Vane vented rotors for a growing number of applications. Based on the centrifugal pump impeller principle, this design uses a series of 144 diamond and teardrop shaped pillars to increase airflow from the center annulus to the outside edge of the disc.
This design optimizes even cooling and reduces hot spots. Made from a very high grade of cast iron and thermally stress relieved before final grinding, these rotors offer improved resistance to thermal distortion and cracking. Most drivers report a reduction in wear as an added bonus.
