Reduced Fade
A greater tolerance to heat build up means more consistent stopping. But how do we go about achieving this? Each and every part of our AP Racing® brake kits are specially designed to help reduce fade and each component plays its part.
AP Racing® Discs…
Our discs have superior cooling qualities with a larger air gap between the braking faces of the disc. They incorporate up to 48 curved cooling vanes to help support the braking faces and reduce the likelihood of warping. These vanes operate as an impeller drawing air from the center outwards. The discs are left and right handed to ensure proper operation of the impeller effect.
AP Racing® Pads…
Our Brake pads have a larger surface area than standard pads making use of our multi piston design which applies even pressure across the pad’s surface. The pads material will tolerate higher temperatures than standard while still operating perfectly at normal traffic speeds.
